Spintunes #20 Challenge: Opportunity Knocks: Write and record a song about an opportunity - whether it's pending, realized, missed, ignored, seized, imagined...

This opportunity is to have everything you desire...until you croak and the guy with the horns and pitchfork takes you to the underworld for eternity. The song is a a dialogue between the subject, who tries to rationalize the deal, and his conscience, which tells him to reject the opportunity for a lifetime of bliss.

Don't know why a deal with the devil was the first thing that popped into my head when I read the challenge. Maybe because I recently watched "Faust" by Czech filmmaker Jan Svankmajer. I'm really looking forward to hearing what interesting ideas others in the competition came up with.

I again got trapped in my tendency to start the song low and slow and build up. And the mix sounds different with different headphones/ear buds - different bass/harmonies, etc. - so it was hard to find the sweet spot. Overall happy with it, considering I only had about three days... enjoy, sinners!
